The problem
Register, grades, messages to families, student accounts and the timetable lived in separate tools, with a great deal of work copied by hand and information scattered across the sites.
The solution
Three systems that talk to each other. A portal for teachers, students and families; a records system that creates accounts and folders automatically; a timetable generator that respects the constraints of every site.
The result
More than 800 users work with it every day. Automatic checks every morning and encrypted backups every night.
The portal
Electronic register, grades, tests, student pages, programmes, seating plans. School–family messages work like a chat, with text encrypted from sender to recipient.
Records and accounts
Enrolments, accounts and folders created automatically, with document privacy managed by role.
Automatic timetable
Automatic planning that takes every requirement into account: teachers, rooms and sites with no overlaps.
Reliability
More than 170 automated tests, checks every morning, encrypted nightly backups.
For confidentiality, the school is not named: the screens are rebuilt with invented sample data.
